History

First Presbyterian Church of San Angelo was organized in 1885, and its present brick sanctuary on Irving Street was built between 1906 and 1908, replacing an 1887 sanctuary designed by architect Oscar Ruffini. The church was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988 as part of the San Angelo Multiple Resource Area and is also a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark.
