History
San Angelo City Hall was completed in 1928 to designs by the noted El Paso architectural firm Trost & Trost during the oil-boom prosperity of the 1920s. The stone-faced building is a rare regional example of the Moderne style and notably houses a decorated municipal auditorium with a proscenium stage. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988 and rehabilitated in 2009.
