History

The Roberts Family Cemetery is a small pioneer burial ground in the Oak Hill area of southwestern Travis County. Among those interred is Eugene Roberts Sr. (1848-1925), a cedar chopper who earned his living cutting and selling wood after moving to Oak Hill. The Roberts family was among the community's early settlers; a related nearby burial ground, the Roberts-Teague Cemetery, was established in 1898 and later designated a Historic Texas Cemetery.
