History
The Trinity County Museum in Groveton preserves the history of Trinity County alongside the Hensley Genealogical and Historical Research Center, housed in the adjacent Kate Bell building. The research center, dedicated in 2007 to Patricia B. Hensley Rawlins and Lt. Col. Joseph W. Hensley, holds family histories, obituaries, and birth, death, marriage, and divorce records reaching back to the 1870s, along with historical photographs and reference books. The Hensleys also edited 'Trinity County Beginnings' (1986), an important regional history.
