History
The Thomas M. O'Connor House on S. Bridge Street in Victoria was built in 1885 in the Italianate style and remodeled in Classical Revival form in the early 20th century, giving it a two-story pedimented portico with paired columns on masonry piers. It was the home of Thomas M. O'Connor, a banker who assembled ranch holdings of more than 500,000 acres in the decades after the Civil War, and it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.
