History

The Jenny to Jet exhibit at Wichita Falls Regional Airport is a satellite of the Museum of North Texas History that pairs the region's early and modern military aviation. The "Jenny" half commemorates Call Field, the World War I Army Air Corps training camp in Wichita Falls, and displays an authentic Curtiss JN-4D "Jenny" biplane; the "Jet" half honors Sheppard Air Force Base with a T-38 trainer and an A-10 jet engine. It also includes Model-T troop and staff cars and a mural of Call Field.
