History
Southwestern University's Administration Building, now the Cullen Building, was begun in 1898 and completed in 1900 in a Richardsonian Romanesque style, its hand-laid 18-inch limestone walls set by stonemasons who had earlier worked on the Texas State Capitol. Mood Hall (Mood-Bridwell Hall), built between 1906 and 1908 as a dormitory, later housed military trainees during both World Wars. The two buildings were jointly listed on the National Register in 1975.
