History
Enochs Cemetery serves the small farming community of Enochs in Bailey County, on land that rancher and land speculator Isaac C. Enochs Jr. set aside when he founded the settlement in 1924. The oldest marked burial is that of Julia M. Brown (1936), and residents organized a cemetery association in 1947 to care for the grounds. It received a Historic Texas Cemetery designation in 2006 and a state marker in 2008.
