History
The Bailey County Courthouse in Muleshoe was built in 1925 in the Classical Revival style to designs by architect M. C. Butler of The Butler Company. The two-story, buff-brick and concrete building stands on landscaped grounds in the center of town, with small stone porticos on its east front and side elevations and stone trim above the second-story windows. It replaced a modest white frame courthouse erected on the same lot in 1917-1918.
