History
The Davis House in Salado originated around 1874 as a double-pen log dwelling on Main Street and grew through additions, including a relocated frame store attached about 1900 and a further addition in 1920. It retains a mantel with an original carved star and today houses a coffee and cocktail business. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as part of the Historic Resources of Salado.
