History

Old Danbury Cemetery is a historic burial ground in northeastern Brazoria County near Danbury. Before the Missouri Pacific Railroad reached the area in 1905-06 the vicinity was home only to scattered ranchers and farmers; the town that grew up with the railroad was named for area rancher D. J. "Uncle Dan" Moller, and the cemetery reflects those early settlement families.
