History
This small museum at the historic Stillwell Store and ranch near Big Bend honors Hallie Crawford Stillwell (1897-1997), who married rancher Roy Stillwell in 1918, worked the Big Bend ranch, wrote a column for the Alpine Avalanche and served as justice of the peace. Opened in 1991 as Hallie's Hall of Fame, it displays the Colt pistol she once carried, photographs and ranch memorabilia. Stillwell was inducted into the National Cowgirl Hall of Fame in 1992 and the Texas Women's Hall of Fame in 1994.
