History
Bangs Cemetery lies just south of the town of Bangs in Brown County, a community that grew up around the railroad in the 1880s and took its name from surveyor Samuel Bangs. The first tract for the burial ground was acquired in March 1904, with additional acreage added in 1941. The cemetery was surveyed and recorded in 1972 as part of Brown County's cemetery documentation efforts.
