History

Seaton Cemetery takes its name from the Seaton family, who owned the surrounding land; Catherine Seaton, wife of J. B. Seaton, has one of the few marked family graves among several unmarked fieldstones. It is one of the older burial grounds in western Callahan County, receiving early settlers such as Bob Kelton, who died of fever in 1888 when the community of Eula had no cemetery of its own.
