History

Pruitt Lake Cemetery, in the Pruitt community of southwestern Cass County near Avinger, was established in 1904. It was originally known as Advent Cemetery, taking its name from a Seventh-day Adventist church that once stood just to its west. The grounds, which include a large covered arbor, remain in use.
