History

This cemetery serves the Huffines community on Farm Road 251 about eight miles southeast of Atlanta in southeastern Cass County. Probably settled in the 1870s, the community received a post office in 1881 named for R. M. Huffines, a local surveyor, and by 1884 it had a church, a school, saw and grist mills, and cotton gins.
