History

Springdale Cemetery sits about five miles northeast of Queen City in a community first settled around the late 1840s that was originally called Forest Home before being renamed Springdale. L. M. Rush and his wife Emlie deeded four acres for burials in 1903, and the cemetery was long tied to the Springdale church, which began as Methodist before becoming Baptist.
