History

Salem Cemetery adjoins Salem Baptist Church on County Road 4810 near Bloomburg in far eastern Cass County. Tradition holds that the graveyard began with the death of Martha Amanda McWilliams Simmons, and it lies within the Richard Peters headright survey recorded in county deed books in 1872.
