History
Cambridge Cemetery, about a mile north of the vanished townsite of Cambridge in Clay County, is probably the oldest cemetery in the county, with its first recorded burial in 1852. Cambridge itself was founded in 1860, abandoned during Indian raids in 1863, and resettled in 1870, but it faded after the Fort Worth and Denver Railroad bypassed it in 1882 in favor of nearby Henrietta. The cemetery's marker was erected in 1971.
