History

The Sam Neathery House at 215 North Waddill Street was built in 1915 by Sam Neathery, a downtown McKinney attorney, and is regarded as the town's best example of Colonial Revival architecture rendered in wood. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places on June 27, 1988, under the Historic Resources of McKinney, the roughly 4,500-square-foot home was later restored and reopened as the Neathery Estate.
