History

Also recorded as the Golden Rod Cemetery, this small burial ground takes one name from the nearby Golden Rod Creek and the other from the Brownson family. It lies in southwestern Colorado County, roughly half a mile north of Sandy's Road near the Lavaca County line, and holds about 34 known graves. The earliest recorded death dates to 1884 and the most recent burial to 2009.
