History

Established in 2013, the Pharmacy and Medical Museum of Texas occupies an 1889 Main Street building in Cuero's National Historic District that operated as a pharmacy for more than a century. The structure, built by the Heaton Brothers, was designed as a drugstore and never housed another type of business until it became a museum. Its collection includes antique pharmacy bottles, soda fountains, medical instruments and other apothecary artifacts, and admission is free.
