History

Sabanno Cemetery sits near the Sabana River and the Callahan County line in southwestern Eastland County, at the site of the former Sabanno community. Sabanno had a post office from 1901 to 1917 and once supported three churches and a three-teacher school before declining after World War I. The fenced, well-kept cemetery includes graves marked only with rocks or funeral-home markers.
