History
The Henry C. Trost House at 1013 West Yandell Drive in El Paso was designed by architect Henry C. Trost for himself and built in 1908-1909 as an excellent example of Prairie School architecture, a style associated with Frank Lloyd Wright. The two-story home features the broad eaves and horizontal lines of the style, with interiors finished by Chicago decorators, and Trost lived there with two brothers and a sister. Recognized for its architecture and its association with arguably El Paso's finest early-20th-century architect, the house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.
