History

The O. B. Sims House is a historic residence in Waxahachie, the Ellis County seat long celebrated for its Victorian-era architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986 as a contributing property under the 'Historic Resources of Waxahachie' multiple property submission. Waxahachie carries one of the largest concentrations of National Register-listed buildings of any Texas city, a legacy of the cotton wealth that built its late-nineteenth- and early-twentieth-century neighborhoods.
