History

Blue Ridge Baptist Church and Cemetery stand about eleven miles east of Marlin, midway between Kosse and Reagan. The church was organized in 1859 by eleven charter members, and in 1873 George Harlan deeded 28 acres for a church, school, and cemetery from an 1835 Mexican land grant to his father, Dr. Isaiah Harlan. A historical marker was placed at the site in 1970.
