History

McCaulley Cemetery serves the small community of McCaulley in eastern Fisher County, which grew up around a post office established in 1893 and named for early settler R. L. McCaulley; an earlier office called Taopi had operated at the site since 1890. The surrounding countryside was also home to a colony of Swedish immigrants who settled northeastern Fisher County in the 1880s.
