History

Trinity Cemetery sits on the grounds of Trinity Lutheran Church along Ranch Road 1 east of Stonewall in Gillespie County. The congregation organized in 1902, buying three acres from Christian Lindig (1864–1948) to build a sanctuary and establish the burial ground. The cemetery chronicles the settlers, veterans, and generations of the Stonewall community; the Texas Historical Commission placed a marker in 2002.
