History

Gonzales Memorial Park is the newer extension of the Gonzales City Cemetery, located about a mile east of town on U.S. 90A. It was created as an inclusive burial ground open to all regardless of race or religion, and is also known locally as the Mexican W.O.W. Cemetery. The grounds include Herman Sons and Woodmen of the World fraternal burial sections.
