History

Bethany Cemetery is a rural burial ground serving the historic Bethany community in eastern Grayson County, northeast of Sherman along Bethany Road. It is made up of an older section and a newer section located roughly 500 yards apart on the same road, and together they hold around 190 marked graves. The cemetery reflects the settlement of the surrounding farming community and remains in use.
