History

Cedarlawn Memorial Park, also recorded as Woodlawn Cemetery, is a Sherman cemetery established in 1948. Unlike the city's older Victorian-era grounds, it was laid out in the mid-20th century as a memorial park and sits in the Sherman area near U.S. Highway 75. Its burial records span the decades since its founding and are documented in several Grayson County genealogical archives.
