History

St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery adjoins the former St. Paul Lutheran Church near Shive, which opened in 1901 to serve the German farming families of that part of Hamilton County. The congregation worshiped for 117 years before ending its ministry on Easter Sunday 2018, after which the sanctuary was kept as a chapel and the cemetery placed under perpetual care.
