History

Memorial Park Cemetery lies on the north side of Quanah, the seat of Hardeman County, about a mile from the courthouse off Highway 6. It is a large, well-kept perpetual-care cemetery holding thousands of burials from the Quanah community, the town that grew up around the Fort Worth and Denver railroad in the 1880s.
