History
The Roy and Margaret Farrar House at 511 Lovett Boulevard was the home of Roy Montgomery Farrar, a Houston banker and civic leader who served as president of the National Bank of Commerce from 1915 to 1921 and later led the Union National Bank. Farrar, who was also active in the Houston lumber trade, married Margaret Campbell in 1906. The residence is individually listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a City of Houston Landmark.
