History

The Central Texas Wing of the Commemorative Air Force is housed in a 1943 wooden hangar at the San Marcos airport, part of the World War II-era San Marcos Army Air Field, which trained aerial navigators. The wing maintains and flies a collection of vintage warbirds, including the B-25J Yellow Rose, a rare flying P-39Q Airacobra, and the D-Day C-47 "That's All Brother." The museum is open several days a week with free admission.
