There is a historical marker on shoulder and an overgrown cemetery sign on fence row.Historical Subject Marker:1) Robert S. Patton Family CemeteryThe cemetery is highly endangered. It is not a map feature and is located on private property. The cemetery is not maintained and is partly fenced. Grazing cattle enter the cemetery freely. As a result, several of the grave markers are damaged or fallen. A historical subject marker for the cemetery is posted on the shoulder of FM 227, and a cemetery sign is located on the fence row between the subject marker and cemetery. However, the cemetery sign is overgrown and not visible from the roadway. Although the cemetery is located in a private pasture, behind a barbed wire fence, it is accessible to the public. Rubber sheathing has been placed around the barbed wire strands so one can slip between the strands without snagging the barbs.
