History

Boyle Cemetery, on State Highway 34 south of Greenville, was founded as a small Catholic burial ground by Patrick Boyle, an Irish immigrant who set aside about an acre of his land near his home. Boyle died on June 11, 1899, and is buried there along with members of his family and their descendants, whose graves span the late 1800s into the mid-1900s.
