History

Wesley Chapel Cemetery lies about five miles southeast of Wolfe City and was established on August 10, 1886, when the Board of Stewards of the Methodist Episcopal Church, South, purchased the ground from T. J. Onstott out of the original Onstott survey for $25. It served the Wesley Chapel Methodist congregation and the surrounding farming community.
