History

Carroll Creek Cemetery is a small pioneer burial ground in central Jack County, southeast of Jacksboro on land now part of the T&L Ranch. Covering about an acre in a brushy pasture, it contains roughly two dozen weathered headstones, many broken from their bases, including a Confederate marker for Edward C. Manning of the Missouri Cavalry.
