History

Silver Hill Cemetery is a historic burial ground near Jacksboro in Jack County holding roughly 180 marked graves, among them nineteenth-century pioneers such as George W. Bumpass (1843–1917). Its inscriptions were compiled in B. J. Lawrence's 1992 survey of Jack County cemeteries.
