The U.S. Post Office in Stamford is a 1917 Beaux Arts-style building that replaced the town's earlier makeshift postal facility, which had opened in December 1899 in a railroad boxcar. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on September 24, 1986 as part of the Stamford Multiple Resource Area.
