History

The John E. Conner Museum is a unit of Texas A&M University-Kingsville devoted to South Texas history, ecology, art, and culture. Its founder, history professor John Edwin Conner, began collecting in 1925, and the museum was organized about four years later; it has occupied Loftin Hall, the campus's original student dining hall, since 1976. Among its holdings is the Peeler Hall of Horns, with more than 500 trophy mounts from across North America.
