History
The King Ranch Museum in downtown Kingsville chronicles one of the world's most famous ranches through photographs, saddles, firearms, carriages, and vintage vehicles. Its permanent collection includes Toni Frissell's award-winning photographic essay of ranch life in the early 1940s and El Kineno, a custom 1949 Buick hunting car built by General Motors for Congressman R. M. Kleberg Sr. A dedicated exhibit traces the ranch's celebrated Quarter Horse breeding program, including Assault, a Triple Crown winner.
