History

Faulkner Cemetery lies in the former Faulkner community along Farm Road 906 in northeastern Lamar County, roughly nine miles east of Arthur City. The community was established in the early twentieth century and named for Ira Faulkner, who operated a local store and sawmill; it had largely vanished from county maps by 1980, leaving the cemetery as one of its few remaining traces.
