History

Littlefield Memorial Park lies immediately beside the older Littlefield Cemetery in the Lamb County seat of Littlefield. A perpetual-care cemetery long operated by a local funeral home, it is distinguished from its neighbor by a requirement that all graves be marked with flat, ground-level markers rather than upright stones. The town itself was founded by cattleman and University of Texas benefactor George W. Littlefield.
