History

San Pedro Cemetery is a fenced Mexican-American burial ground on the west side of Shiner in Lavaca County, reached by way of 6th Street off Highway 90A. It holds more than fifty markers, the oldest belonging to Marcela Lopez, who died January 24, 1910. The cemetery served the town's Mexican-American community and is recorded in the Texas Historical Commission's Atlas.
