History

The Gooch cemeteries serve one of Mason County's older rural burial communities, with roots reaching back to about 1872. The Old Gooch section occupies the west side of the site, the earlier of the two grounds, and is cared for by the community and the Gooch Cemetery Board. It lies in southwestern Mason County and remains an active local cemetery.
