History

Pebble Grove Cemetery, northeast of Cameron, dates back to 1867 on land donated by a settler named Cosby, who had reached Milam County in 1830, with the stipulation that no one ever be charged for burial there. A Pebble Grove Cemetery Association was organized in 1988 to maintain the grounds.
