History

Yager Farm Cemetery is a small family burial ground near Maysfield, a northeastern Milam County community about eight miles northeast of Cameron. Originally called Old Graball, the settlement was renamed for Thomas Newton Mayes, who arrived in 1853, and had a post office by 1868 and roughly 250 residents at its peak in the 1880s.
