History

Forest Grove Cemetery lies beside the Forest Grove Christian Church community in Precinct 3 of Milam County. The burial ground was begun on a rise west of the present church building years before the community took the name Forest Grove, when the site was known as Hat Prairie for the hat-shaped open space on the hill.
